This is a portrait of Joseph Stalin. He represents the third villain in the story of the exhibit. This piece contains the blood of Harold Nestler. Harold was born in East Germany. As a young boy, he was enrolled (against his and his family's will) as a member of the "Young Pioneers", which was essentially Joseph Stalin's version of the "Hitler Youth". On Oct 7 1956, he escaped to West Germany where he stayed until Feb 6 1960, when he came to America. On July 11 1962, he was drafted to the American Army, and was then stationed in Germany where he did a full tour of duty. In 1965 he became and American citizen, and has lived in the suburbs of Chicago ever since.
